We are home back in LA and trying to readjust our sleep schedules. We plan to try to round out the blog and post more pictures of the days we were not able to access the pictures for in Thailand. Be sure to check the out the pictures from the Grand Palace day in Bangkok.
We've estimated that the 29-day trip cost about $5,000 for the two of us combined.
Flights $2200
Lodging $650
Tours $500
Climbing Transportation $150
Food $800
Beverages $100
Purchases $600
If you followed our blog while we were over there PLEASE POST A COMMENT ON THIS ENTRY. We'd love to see what family, friends, co-workers, and even strangers followed along on our blog. We had an amazing time and we had originally only started the blog to keep Ken's grandma and mom and Anja's dad updated but it was great to come back and hear how our friends enjoyed living vicariously through our blog. So please post a comment because we'd like you all to be a part of our trip blog.
For note we are thinking of returning next year (March maybe?) for a two week trip to Tonsai. Anyone interested would be welcome to join us to climb or just relax on the beach.
Cheers!
Ken and Anja

Great trip and very cost effective also! I loved reading your blog and now I want to go to see the sights and climb that super-kind limestone!
Thanks for the great pics and stories.
Good Lord.....FIVE G's for 29 glorious days in THailand?!?!
That's insane! Sadly.. I've probably spent more for 2 weeks in san francisco. How backwards is that? Geez.
Did you plan and pay for it all in advance or was it mostly on the fly expenses?
Only $100 spent on drinks? I don't believe it :)
Thanks for the blog, I enjoyed following along with your adventures!
you rappel down to a bar? c'mon!!! place looks amazing. nice photos.
Looks like a fun time! Enjoyed reading the stories, it gave me something to do at work...
Welcome back!
I followed it when you bums weren't too busy climbing to post something ;) (glad you have your priorities in order).
Good job documenting the trip!
I checked in periodically and really got a good feel of what it was like for you.
Ken & Anja: Thanks for the awesome pix & verbage. After we spent $4K for 2 weeks in Greece, your $5K/month is amazing. Did you subtract what you'd have paid to eat etc at home?
Also thanks for web album tip. I'm glad to see it display video clips. Will try it for Greece photos/clips.
boat charter samui
If you go there how much it cost? Because my wife have a plan to go in thailand for our honey moon....
